When Waiting Feels Like Wasting
July 1, 2026
There is a particular kind of tired that comes from waiting on something you can't control — a diagnosis, a marriage, a season of motherhood that feels endless. It's easy to believe that waiting is wasted time.
But an olive isn't wasted while it sits under the press. The pressure is the process. What feels like standing still is often exactly where the oil is being made.
If you're in a waiting season today, you are not behind. You are being pressed, and pressing is never the opposite of purpose.
A short prayer: Lord, help me trust You in the waiting. Let me believe that this season is not wasted, even when I can't yet see what it's producing. Amen.
